Internet Obsessed With Dog Using Pet Cam to Let Mom Know He ‘Needs a Treat’

Pet parents have become accustomed to watching their fur babies at home through cameras that have advanced technology, which allows them to speak to their pets. And as pets have gotten used to the all-powerful eyes watching their every move, they have also learned how to use it to their advantage.

Lisa Van Wagoner, known on TikTok as @lisalou0703, set up a Furbo Dog Camera in her living room. These cameras allow owners to watch, talk, and toss their dogs a treat whenever they aren’t home.

However, in Van Wagoner’s case, her dog Bentley thinks he controls the device. All he has to do is look at the camera long enough and dog treats magically appear.

But because most owners can’t check in through the dog camera 24/7, Bentley unknowingly had luck on his side. Van Wagoner told Newsweek via TikTok that family members would go to her house and check in on her dad. While they were there, they noticed Bentley in front of the Furbo.

The family members would text Van Wagoner and let her know Bentley had been patiently waiting and “needs a treat.” Lo and behold as she got the Furbo app up, the pup was front and center on the camera screen, waiting for his rightfully earned treat.

The TikTok video, which was posted on April 28, shows a few examples of Bentley in front of the camera and the texts she receives, reminding her to throw him a treat. The video’s caption reads: “Raise your hand if you have a dog who is obsessed with a Furbo camera.”

She doesn’t seem to mind obeying to Bentley’s demands. As Van Wagoner said in the comments section, he knows that cute face will do the trick.

Or maybe he keeps staring into the camera because one treat isn’t enough for him. Van Wagoner said she fills the Furbo device with tiny training treats, but being the good boy that he is, Bentley wants more.

The hilarious TikTok video amassed 1.2 million views and 200,000 likes as of Saturday afternoon.

A third TikTok user wrote: “Throw my mans benny boy some treats ya heard.”
